DJ Kris’ Autobiography
Being born in the 70’s I grew up in a time of great music . It was still the age of Rock&Roll, Disco became popular and then the 80’s music came in. Wow. 80’s Arena Rock! Big Hair and catchy songs. And I still keep up on all the music whether its Pop, Hip-hop , R&B,Dance , Rock or Country. When I was a young teenager my Dad was working as a security guard at the Famous Madam Carroll river boat here in Monticello. There some great bands played like Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, BTO, The Turtles, Gary Lewis and The Playboys and Indiana’s own Henry Lee Summer. Dad got me a part time job setting up sound equipment for these bands on the Madam Carroll.
From that point on I was hooked on big sound systems and how to make them sound good. I was then able to start DJ-ing High School dances and had my first wedding reception as a freshman in High School. So I’ve spent my whole life figuring out just what it takes to make P.A. systems sound the best. I may work a very flexible full time job but it’s not my passion or my career , being a DJ and MC is.
